Sounds like it "woke up" your immune system...

Guess with so many potentially deadly infections (malarias, tuberculosis, ... of the spine - interestingly closest to the spot where later my main abdominal stenosis responsible for my PAD developed) I would since long be dead without a wide awake immune system 8-)

Therefore, would you like to clarify what you wanted to tell?

I usually see phosphorus supplementation strongly disadvised, but also and specially to not use any sodas for their phosphorous content. If you search you'll find some studies indicating an association with high phosphorus and calcification of soft tissues, though it isn't that clear how it's related to vitamin D deficiency, beside an obvious association to kidney disease.

If you're serum level don't show high levels I wouldn't be concerned either, if you still would get some phosphorous from supplements. The most common would probably be from Phosphatidylcholine or lecithin.

First of all, I would get a serum 25(OH)vitaminD3 test.

If I eat a lot of eggs, I probably get plenty of Phosphytidle choline then.

So, I just got back from my 6 month check-up with the dentist. It's been about 3 months since I started trying to follow the Westin Price protocall (Haven't been that successful with the low carb thing -- but I did stop drinking pop and take in significantly less sugar then I used to)

The cavities are still there. They're really badgering me about getting them filled. But I think they're healing, because for like the first time in 12 years I haven't yelped when they clean around the gums under those two teeth. Also it didn't hurt at all when they were cleaning plaque off of them.

So, I'm going to be a bit more strict on the low carb thing -- it'll be easy seeing as my wife is trying to cut carbs too b/c of her recently diagnosed diabetes -- She just found out she has another cavity too -- and I think it's related to the diabeties. Hi Blood sugar saps minerals out of your body. I'm trying to convince her to give up Potatoes and go on a severely restricted carb diet -- much more so then the "moderated" diet they're telling her to do in diabetic ed. But it's kind of an uphill battle.

Anyway,

Tracy

Feel like I am coming in late - but keying on your tooth cavities.

What is your (and your wife's) vitamin C intake?

I used to have a mouthful of cavities until I started taking 18,000 mg of vitamin C daily, around 1986, then none (or very few).

A dentist in the fifties wrote that 6000 mg of vitamin C daily prevented dental carries (cavaties) in his patients.

You and your wife would be "black swans" if you take more than 6000 mg daily and still have new cavaties!

Currently I'm taking 6 packets (2 three times a day) of Lypo C a day, Plus I take about 4grams of AA in the morning, and use 4 grams of NaA at night for mouthwash.

I'm also taking 1500 mcg on K2-7/day
30 mg of k2-4/day
100,000 IU of Vit A a day
and 50,000 IU of VD a week.
I'm also taking fish oil supplements.

I also try to make sure I eat at least 1 tablespoon of Grass Fed Cow butter daily.

I was hoping based on the recommendations and other articles earlier in the thread that my cavities would have actually healed by now. Weston Price seemed to think that 6 weeks was all it took if the protocol was followed strictly,

So, all I can think was perhaps I haven't cut my carbs down enough.

I'm getting my wife to take 6 packets of lypoC also. I have to practically force it down her, but she's at least taking it if I make it for her.

We just started the high dose LyPo C, with-in the past few weeks though. My 2 cavities I've had for at least 6 months. But during the last 6 months I was taking around 20 grams a day of the regular stuff (AA and NaA).

This cavity was a new one for her, but like I said we just started this protocol with-in the past month for her.

I'm trying to heal mine naturally. She just went and got her cavity filled.

Did yours actually heal, or did you just stop getting new ones?

Does the Weston price protocol have a maximum amount of carbs a person should stay under? Based on weight and age, and what-not?

It looks like invitehealth no longer sells this product. It's not on their site anyway.

Edit. I went ahead and bought some butter oil from http://www.greenpasture.org/public/Prod ... /index.cfm

Does anybody have any idea the vitamin K2 Content in it? TS

The lef.org K2 might be a suitable replacement. Instead of

1000mcg K1
500mcg K2-4
500mcg K2-7

which is the invite health product, the lef.org one has

1000mcg K1
1000mcg K2-4,
and depending on who's doing the telling
200mcg K2-7 + olive oil (lef) or 100mg K2-7 + no oil (swanson)

Some statements claim this product is derived from natto and can be detrimental to those who are sensitive to estrogens.
