Add potassium chloride to balance electrolytes in IVC

Post Number:#1  Post by sasam » Wed Jan 29, 2020 12:03 am

100 grams of sodium ascorbate adds a lot of sodium into the body.

Would adding Pharma grade potassium chloride (as is used in lactated ringers) to the Cathcart solution be an improvement by creating a more balanced electrolyte solution? And would adding magnesium also further improve the solution by further reducing the potential for vein pain?

The potassium in lactated ringers was causing me phlebitis.
