Those studies found vitamin C intake from diet has positive benefits, not supplementation of ascorbic acid.

Correlation is not causation.

Not meaning to rain on the ascorbic acid parade but I don't find any convincing evidence in what is cited that supplementing with ascorbic acid helps prevent dementia and Alzheimer's.

You seem to be of the opinion that vitamin C in foods is superior to the isolated factor that is vitamin C. Peace be with you. Enjoy your vegetables and fruits! You may even be right!
