I read johnwen recommends taking a good multivitamin along with PT. Could you recommend either a particular vitamin or what to look for in a vitamin for a male and female mid fifties. Also are there other things we should or should not be taking as well?

Two-per-day in my opinion has the best price to quality ratio of any multi on the market.

It uses most natural/bioavailable forms of B-vitamins (a concern with folic acid), avoids iron or too much Manganese, Copper and contains other necessary additions no other multi provides for this price.

Add to that 1 or 2 of B-Complex, Super-K, sufficient Magnesium, Vitamin D3 according to your blood test results, Gamma-Tocopherols and Tocotrienols of the Vitamin E family, some more preformed Vitamin A, CoQ10, Omega-3 softgels and you have the basis covered.

Depending on your conditions, it might be beneficial to add some individual nutrients in much higher doses.
