Calcium Score 112.. Age 41.. What do I do now?

Post Number:#1  Post by SonnyCrack » Tue Jun 28, 2016 5:16 pm

I have no symptoms of heart disease other then high lipids. It's obvious cholesterol is a big problem FOR ME. Not everyone.. I'm very upset right now. If you read my other post you'll see my regimen.

Is high lipids/high cholesterol even a problem if you don't have any forms of heart disease and if lp(a) is down? (I know you said it is, but I mean in terms of scientific studies) I don't see how it is. High blood sugar is something that causes universal damage in of itself, but that's not what we're talking.
With high cholesterol, you get a higher Coenzyme q10 synthesis, and higher hormone productions, don't you?

A calcium score of 112 puts me in the 94th percentile and confirms heart disease (asymptomatic at this point). I'm waiting on the results of the VAP test.

Any help? I'd really appreciate it. Especially those with calcium scores above 100 or have helped those with scores above 100.

I would question the quality of many of your supplements.

Check out life extension superk, about 2700mcg of vit K of different types. Your 150mcg is hardly enough to make a dent.

I dont see any vit A, which along with vit D and K are important for getting calcium in proper places.

Add coq10 to your supp list.

Consider upping your magnesium and add a lot of potassium (most people dont get anywhere near the 4700mg recommended.)

As for your high choletserol, its directly related to your high glucose levels, you need to cut out the simple carbs and stick with fresh veggies instead.

I take
MG(nutricology)
vit C_5-10g/day(purebulk and livon lipo)
vit K(LifeExtemnsion)
coq10(
vit D(now)
use consumerlabs to find pure suppls and the cheapest, not always the the same thing, cheap ones arent always pure

Figured I'd update this... 5 years later I've had two scans.. The results of my last one were 119 so only a 7 point increase in 5 years.. I'm qqqqqqqqqqqquite happy with that! Keep taking your Vit C, D, K2 and Niacin folks!

What exitium said.
For every glucose molecule it allegedly takes two magnesium molecules to clear up. So if your sugar/carb intake is high then it will negate your magnesium and other supplements.

Do you have a reference for this? Magnesium's ability to counteract glucose?

Thanks for the reference. Type 2 diabetes.

I'll look into magnesium ascorbate.
