No, not inflammation, although others wrote about it. According to Pauling and Rath, the cause is a lack of vitamin C. And lp(a) is a surrogate for vitamin C to strengthen the extracellular matrix and promote the healing of wounds. Since when do you measure your lp(a) values? Can you tell me your values? Do you have CVD?

Check out posts, 295, 305, 307, 336, 339 for my past labs, yes I have CVD, Double Bypass 13 years ago, and Heart Attack last June 7th. now 3 Stents.
Had Cath. of Heart 13 months out from Stents, Cardiologist said Perfectly Clean, passed Echo Stress Test and Carotids are Clean.
Take 16-18 G. Vitamin C, 8 Grams L-Lysine and will be starting 3 Grams L-Proline.

Are you saying If you have Extremely High LP-a you need more than 16-18 Grams Vitamin-C per day?

No, I measured what I need. According to Jaffe Cleanse Test. I take about 30 g.

So you take about 30g of VC but still have lp(a) concerns? That would indicate that VC isn't really helpful for lowering it. Anyway, does the lp(a) level matter if you are negating it with enough binding inhibitors?

I've often wondered that if proline is so helpful for lp(a), why aren't people going above the usual quoted dose of around 2g? Why not get the dose up to 6g as with the lysine?

Do you take Serrapeptase or Nattokinase to keep Fibrinogen that low?
