Post Number:#1  Post by hvc » Thu Feb 23, 2017 4:22 pm

I am a 55 year old male. I have been taking 20-70 grams of vit c a day for the last year and two months. I just received my results from a CTA of the chest. My stenosis is my arteries has severely increased as well as my calcium! I take a lifeextesion super k pill daily. Don't know where to turn! Please give me thoughts.

Maybe you have to change what you are taking ..I take vitamin C and Lysine from Tower labs ..I hope you are also taking Lysine and proline also.. you don't mention that you are taking it ..for me it has worked.. had almost 50 % narrowing of mesenteric artery and mesenteric celiac artery ..I have this site to thank for my recovery as the cardiologist had no solutions for it ..

HVC

Life Extension Super K Does not contain any V-D primarily D3.

Let me use an analogy to show you how this works.

You have a pile of calcium just sitting there and more is falling on it daily.
You have a bunch of trucks (V-K) sitting there waiting to take it to it’s destination. But you don’t have anything to pick it up to load the trucks (D3) so it just sits there.

So as you can see D3 Mobilizes the calcium Ie. Breaks it down and releases it back into the system.
K (mk7 and mk2) transport’s it to the bones or out the door.

However the body has a method to limit the amount of calcium in the blood these are the parathyroid glands when there is a excessive amount of calcium it heads straight for the elimination system (kidney’s GI) so they play a part in the whole picture.

In your latest blood work in the Plasma section Look for calcium or CA and see what your reading is if it’s over 10 or even a high 9 (9.8-9.9) you may have a parathyroid problem also.
If you don’t mind post it here and I can give you a better idea!

Hope this helps!

Thank you for answering. I do take 5000 D3 every day.
my latest calcium was 9.6 mg/dl.

My cardiologist is saying I need an angiogram. If they want to stent me, I guess i have no choice. (i know I have a choice but, if they go in and think that it is necessary should I be saying no?).
Also, I was told that I may be taking too much vitamin c. That I should scale back to 8grams a day.
Thank you for your input. I am very upset and nervous.
