echocardiogram showed calcification

Post Number:#1  Post by johnjackson » Thu May 30, 2019 1:06 pm

echocardiogram showed calcification
patient is taking 9 grams vit C daily
Has afib last 8 years
is taking
Solotol for Afib

I have him taking MG, vit C and vit K2

I thought to beat calcication, you needed more vit K2 and more lysine/proline?

anything he should add?

thank you

edit
Last year he had a low(lpa) test, has not had a CAC test, more his MD, who treasts his afib, did an echo and it shows calcication

I thought Afib drugs inhibited vit k2 and thereby promoted calcification and vit k2 was the answer.

And the lysine/proline?

I know Vitamin K2 is preferred because it doesn't compete with the "blood thinning" drugs usually prescribed to heart patients, but I don't know that vitamin K2 alone can overcome these drugs propensity to push calcium into soft tissues.

Magnesium is excellent advice, as we have learned that too much manganese competes with magnesium in the heart, causing irregular heart beats. The exact numbers are in my book, but from memory, lowering mn to acceptable levels results in a normal heartbeat in about 2 months. (This from the USDA work with swine.)

THANK YOU
this is exactly what I feared and a big reason I was upset to learn he knew about the calcification last year and didnt tell me

so you think he solatol is pushng calcium into soft tissue? or what is doing that?

pg 102 of your book says get 150mg-1,500m g magnesium(MG)
no more than 2mg Mn(manganese)
So I looked some sources of Mn\
http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tnam ... #foodchart

So he should decrease any MN in his diet and increase MG?

well M****F******
his MD, the cardiologist told him NOT TO TAKE ANY SUPPLEMENTAL MG

I had to convince him to take some, telling him it will lower BP and more you take, the better
He says he takes it, i dont know for sure.

but since getting on him more about taking his AA, k2, MG, he hasnt had an afib incident in 10months

so what do you think he should do to decrease the calcification?
--increase lysine/proline?
-increase vit C
increase vit k2?
-more MG?
-I dont see that he is taking any MN, maybe from diet, even then it is low

anything else?

his mD told him last year, that calcification is just a Natural part of aging!

can a
echocardiogram can be quantified

sure, they can look at the one from last year and then this year and
--looks better/worse/same

so why didnt they measure lp(a) or do a MRI CAC?

so he has low Lp(a)
less than 6mg/dl

Im not sure if that was m easured or calculated(measured is better?)

so what does he need to do to lower calcification?
more k2
more proline(key)

more lysine
more vit C

anything else?
