LP therapy and blood pressure.

Post Number:#1  Post by cb122 » Sun Aug 30, 2020 12:57 pm

Would/should vitamin c/lysine/proline lower elevated blood pressure?

Also would taking magnesium tablet at the same time as ascorbic acid lower its acidity and harshness on a sensitive stomach?

Are claims that vitamin c could harm kidneys false?

Sorry for the delay. Miss johnwen.

Over time on vitamin C and lysine, as the arteries become more pliable, blood pressure generally drops because the artery can expand. Blood pressure increases the more narrow the artery - and the more stiff.

Magnesium with ascorbic acid is probably a great idea.

Pauling explained that if you want to avoid kidney stones, keep urine pH neutral. If urine acidic, you can take some or all of your vitamin C as sodium ascorbate (or as ascorbic acid with bicarb). However, half the stones form in alkaline urine - so ascorbic acid would be best in that case. pH strips are inexpensive.
