Lysine from food?

Is it ok to obtain enough lysine from food, or do you supplement extra lysine? I use to eat 3 egg yolks, half a liter milk daily and 4oz oats daily. That alone is about 3gr lysine. Add some fish/meat and you reach 5gr easy.

It is neccesary to get Lysine from food. For additional therapeutic effects one takes supplements. Pauling advised to take 3-6 g/d of Lysine additional to that one gets from food.

For example, get in average 3.4 g/d from food, and supplement additional 6 g daily.
