Hi Lior,
If the molecular formula for Vitamin C is C6H8O6, then the molar mass should be 6*12.001 gm/mol carbon + 8*1.008 gm/mol hydrogen + 6*16.000 gm/mol oxygen = 177.014 gm/mol C6H8O6. If there are 95.8 mg in 8 fl oz , then .0958 gm / 177.014 = 5.4120e-4 mol. Now if 8 fl oz is 236.584 ml, then 5.4120e-4 / .236584 = .0023 M/l should be my estimate of Molar concentration.
Wow, it has been decades since I’ve done that kind of calculations. With all the statins I used to take, I’m absolutely amazed I could even get that far. I might be getting better.
Why did you ask?
