What is vitamin C? Is there such a thing as a vitamin C complex? Why do so many people now believe in the complex?

Hello owen,

mostly totally contrary to Vitamin C website!

Thank you for noticing this, and thank God for Linus Pauling! Even with the benefit of Pauling's understanding and analysis, well intentioned and reasonable people still fall for this nonsense. I wrote a paper giving the Foundation's (my) opinion.

See: http://vitamincfoundation.org/NaturalC.htm

One of the best arguments is that vitamin C is defined to prevent the deficiency disease scurvy. It is only possible to keep people from dying from scurvy with ascorbic acid. No hospital in the world uses a C-complex, and it wouldn't keep patients in comas alive.
