I was a little blown away by a positive article from yahoo. There are errors, but the four supplements mentioned are zinc, vitamin C, Vitamin D and Probiotics.

Naturally, we agree with the recommendation about vitamin C.

Regarding zinc,the "advanced" knowledge differs with the description and claims that due to the high turnover inside the body (zinc participates in over 5000 chemical reactions in the body) nearly everyone is deficient in zinc.

The advanced knowledge advises us to be cautions supplementing vitamin D due to problems the liver has processing and holding on to vitamin D. (Maybe because our bodies can make it out of cholesterol from sun light on the skin?)

The "advanced" knowledge would agree, to some extent about probiotics, but claims that current formulations are about 1% to 10% as effective as eating an organic apple - skin and all. An unwashed apple (and various sprouts) have "elevated bacteria" that are immune to stomach acid, and after they make it to the end of the small intestine, they help make vitamin B12.
