The "Lost" Science of Fasting - My experience

Revisiting
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4950986/
w/r to the postulate that increase CoA - leads to higher metabolism (e.g. use of ATP).

It seems that much of this article concerns the study of B5 synthesis by the lowest organisms (who must make it, since they generally cannot "eat" it). Ergo, if the cell has to make pantothenate (B5) that requires the expenditure of energy, i.e., uses ATP.

Pantoate formation begins with the transfer of a methyl group to ?-ketoisovalerate by ketopantoate hydroxymethyltransferase (the panB gene product) followed by reduction by ketopantoate reductase (the panE gene product). Pantothenate is then formed by the ATP-dependent condensation of ?-alanine and pantoate by pantothenate synthetase (the panC gene product). Pantothenate is then either used for CoA biosynthesis or exported from the cell.

And it is interesting that virtually all microorganisms will absorb the vitamin (if available) leading to antibiotics based on this "universal absorption.

But I didn't find what I wanted regarding coenzyme A's contribution to cell or tissue or entire-body metabolism.
