Actually over time is when you will gain all the weight back.

But I can see you are just arguing to argue. Nothing can be accomplished here.

actually over time people can lose more weight!
I know a lady who had cancer, lose 50+ lbs and have kept if off 10yrs now
and her hubby got n shape too

yes, people who stop dieting gain back weight.... but my remark,"all diets work" is geared towards those people who claim they tried dieting tried and "no diets work".
this just means they didnt create a caloric deficit, they didnt diet.

I can see you are just stuck on semantics and cant see that dieting works(always) as you confuse dieting and not dieting.

Little off topic, as this is supposed to be a topic on at least one thing we know is wrong in the Medical Medium books, not necessarily about diets and losing weight. It started because of the statement in Liver Rescue that using up our glycogen stores, as in Marathon running, is a) dangerous or b) not dangerous. MM says dangerous.

Liver Rescue Pg 11 - Processing Fat and Protecting your Pancreas

When it's supported, your liver has the ability to release and withhold at will. If you get cold, your liver will create heat to warn you; if you get hot, it will take on heat to cool you. If you run a marathon, your liver will release very bit of stored glucose to help you cross the finish line. .


Something about the above quote prompted the author of this post to say, we know he's wrong about marathon running..

Anyway, since I posted my diabetes experience (e.g. D now under control, here in this thread) this is last night's reading. I had a normal glucose reading like I usually do around dinner time, took the normal insulin dose, but wasn't hungry and my wife and I really didn't eat a meal, just some fruit and veges.

Now that I've stopped high / moderate fats, I have to worry about hypoglycemia after my insulin. Never happened eating fats.

dang man,
can you explain the thought process you had that caused you to change from a high/moderate fat diet to a low fat/"natural diet(I'm not sure what you call your diet, but it seems to follow a Mcdougall diabetic diet)
a vegan diet can eat high fat or even no fat(cookies/chips)

Im curious how you got to this point because it's taken years to get my dad, T2D, to eat more greens(telling him nitric oxide helps prevent dementia helped)
but I have a T1D friend who was a CGM and insulin pump who eats a low carb/high fat diet, very low in veggies/fruit

You are serious? This entire forum is devoted to the Medical Medium series. These books ARE the thought process, and until you read them, I can't make it short and sweet for you. There is no short cut. YOU MUST READ TO LEARN AND UNDERSTAND. I barely cracked the surface, and the information transformed my thinking over night.

Again, READ before you speak further. Debating points in the book is a much better use of our time. If you want to know what CAUSES and PREVENTS dementia, read the books, and listen to this lecture, more than once. (Nitric oxide plays no role. Fats and mercury are key).
