Thanks for finding this new study. We had seen that other strains of mice engineered to have a defected GULO gene (like we humans) would develop atherosclerosis when vitamin C was withheld. Thus these mice are a study subject other than the guinea pig for cardiovascular disease.
This seems to be the first step, showing the effect on Lp(a) in these mice.
I hope they keep going to study the effects of adding lysine and proline!
