ACTIVE SUBSTANCES
Ascorbic acid 10000 mg.
Sodium bicarbonate 4500mg
DOSES, ROUTES AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
It is administered intravenously, intramuscularly once a day.
In the case of intravenous administration, it is recommended to dilute the product beforehand with physiological serum, in ½ dilution.
Pharmacokinetic features
After administration, vitamin C is reversibly oxidized to dehydroascorbic acid. It is widely distributed in the body and is found in increased concentrations in the liver (30-100 mg/g) and adrenal glands (100 mg/g), with plasma protein binding of 25%. It is not stored in the body, requiring a continuous exogenous supply. Elimination is carried out renally in a large proportion untransformed and in the form of metabolites. Both unchanged ascorbic acid and L-dehydroascorbic acid, 2,3-dioxo-L-gluconic acid and oxalic acid are eliminated in the urine in variable proportions.
