Hi,
My name is Phillip and I'm a long time user of Vitamin C from The Vitamin C foundation. Over the years I've discovered a wealth of beneficial information on this forum. Thank you!
I have a question off topic of Vitamin C. A couple of weeks ago I was reading through the forum and I saw topics on DMSO and it's healing properties, which quickly turned into loads of research about DMSO. I tweaked my elbow and forearm muscle over the 4th of July weekend and I just could not get it to heal. Anyone that lifts weight knows how frustrating a nagging elbow and surrounding muscles injury can be. It can last for months. This is why I was so interested in DMSO. I picked some up, cleaned the area and applied the DMSO along with magnesium oil. Fast forward a week and my forearm feels like it did pre-injury. Awesome!
That being said, in my research I learned that if you're on any type of medication, DMSO can increase the affects of your medication. I'm one of those guys that has to take off blood every 3 months or so because TRT(Testosterone Replacement Therapy) can increase hemoglobin. I had my hemoglobin checked the week before I used the DMSO and it was just a shade below 17. Fast forward to this morning. My hemoglobin was at 18.1. I've also been drinking spinach and celery smoothies, heavy on the spinach, which are high in the K vitamins, this can also increase hemoglobin if you're on TRT along with nicotine. Hydration is key when on TRT. I was curious if anyone here has been on TRT and DMSO and had the same experience? Everything about the healing power of DMSO is amazing. I'm just disappointed it looks like I won't be able to use it going forward.
Thanks to you all! This forum is solid gold!!
Phillip
