Good news, right?

Blood pressure is measured because a small narrowing of the artery creates an exponential effect increasing blood pressure (at least this is what conventional medical students are taught :-) So the doctor can guess at whether your arteries are blocked or narrowing (or stiff and cannot dilate) from your blood pressure.

This effect is often reported on LInus Pauling's therapy, and I personally doubt it is a Nitric Oxide effect, probably more that arterial walls are becoming more elastic. Note this study that someone was kind enough to share the other day.
