I am SO happy my Lp(a) has come down so much!

Hi,

My question is, at what point do I start using maintenance doses or change from the Cardio C XL to the XM maintenance product?

My LPa started at 153 at the end of May.

Using the Pauling protocol I got it to 95 by the end of August. That was
about 7,000 mg of Vit C daily (along with heavy lysine and proline as
well)

Then I started using the Cardio C XL, probably 8,000 Vitamin C per day.
My LPa is now 78.

In reading some of the Pauling Therapy article, it does mention once your LPa number is down to zero to go to maintenance. Is this what I should be aiming for? The test marker says 75 is the maximum. My sister,
who has no issues with LPa, has a score of 33.

I appreciate any assistance you could provide me. I am SO happy it’s come down so much!

Thank you.

Good question. I assume the units are nmol/l where "normal" is around 90. Is that correct?

It sounds like your Lp(a) has reacted very favorably, and that you began the program last May, or approximately 6 months ago.

If the units are under the reference range, and given the length of time, I would say that you are definitely a candidate for the new maintenance (Cardio-C XM) product.

If you decide to go that way, please report on what happens to your Lp(a) levels as time goes on.
