Thanks for the Link.
I had a heart attack 5 years ago, since then I have taken what is listed below.
I have very high LP-a and cannot get it to lower very much.
I take daily:
Vitamin C every 4 hrs. to total 15 G.
L-Lysine every 4 hrs. to total 14 G.
L-Proline every 4 hrs. to total 6.6 G.
Plus, the other recommended supplements.

sorry I was asking if proline or lysine is better

I found this

"
L-Lysine and L-Proline, two natural amino acids, can prevent the apo(a) adhesive from sticking, serving as a kind of Teflon coating. Of these,
L-Proline is several times more powerful than L-Lysine. These aminos also assist to shrink the plaque which is already present."

Why hasn' it worked for you?

Maybe you need k2 to remove calcium from arteries

Maybe try a natural vitamin c juice like Acerola if it doesn't work

Your quote says: L-Proline is more powerful than L-Lysine in preventing Lp(a) from sticking to artery walls.

DiverDown2 says: Both, even at much higher doses, don't got Lp(a) in blood-tests down. (Didn't for me either)

This is a usual misunderstanding. If Lp(a) doesn't stick to the artery wall, it doesn't mean it will be reduced in the blood stream. Obviously, the potion sticking to the artery wall would reduce the amount in the blood stream.

Therefore, it might have helped DiverDown2 (and me) by not allowing Lp(a) to stick to the artery walls. But this mechanism doesn't become obvious in Lp(a) blood tests.

As far as needing more K2:
I take Life Extensions Mega Vitamin K2 45000 mcg (45 mg), in the morning, and Jarrow Formula MK-7 180 (mcg) in the evening.

Which is better, so far there is no way of knowing that I have found.

From history, starting with Pauling's first three case reports, we know that while vitamin C is necessary and stops the narrowing process, and that 5 to 6 grams of lysine can reverse atherosclerosis.

The University of Chicago discovered the proline-binding-sites on the Lp(a) molecule after Linus Pauling passed. It looks like those binding sites are how Lp(a) forms out of the LDL molecule and the apo(a) lipoprotein.

WOuld vitamin C and proline would work as well as vitamin C and lysine? The answer is unknown, at least to me, but it is true that our bodies can and do make proline.
